Adhesive and Sealant (Black)

Our adhesive and sealant has been specially developed as a complete all-in-one solution for bonding and sealing all types of our garage door threshold seals. This adhesive is a universal, high-strength and permanently flexible adhesive and sealant that adheres extremely well to non-porous surfaces.

It can also be used together with our commercial door threshold seals, especially if your floor is uneven. In such cases, a bead of sealant can be applied to secure the aluminium threshold to the floor and eliminate any gaps that might otherwise form beneath the seal on uneven surfaces.

What makes our GaraDry® adhesive and sealant special?

This adhesive bonds to damp surfaces and is paintable with most paints. The sealant is odourless and free from isocyanates (highly reactive chemicals), and has a shelf life of 18 months when stored in the unopened tube.

Our new adhesive has been specifically developed to securely fix and weatherproof our garage door threshold seals and offers:

Floor preparation before applying the adhesive

Our adhesive and sealant has been designed and tested to bond effectively to sealed concrete floors. Before application, the surface must be cleaned of dust, dirt, oil and grease.

If the surface is painted, we recommend using a wire brush to remove loose paint from the floor. We also recommend applying a concrete or block paving sealant to seal the concrete surface before installation.

Drying time

The curing time of the adhesive depends on several factors such as application temperature, humidity and environmental conditions. We recommend allowing the adhesive to dry overnight before driving vehicles over the installed threshold. This helps ensure maximum adhesion to the surface.
